Frozen IQF Cultivated Blackcurrants

Rawmaterial:

Frozen IQF cultivated blackcurrants are hand picked, selected from properly ripened berries. The fruit are sorted to meet EU and USDA standards of quality. The blackcurrants are individually quick frozen (IQF).

The whole fruit is placed into poly lined cases and finally stored at minus 18ºC or below to preserve the quality of the product. Track record is kept of each single lot of fruit according to HACCP System.

Main analytical parameters:

Appearance: Whole fruit with removed stems (calyx), without ice and permanent conglomerates.

Colour: Posses a practically uniform colour typical of properly matured berries for the variety. Max. 1% under color.

Character: Firm fruit, practically whole and intact with no more than 2% of the berries being crushed, mushy or broken. Free of impurities. No rotten/mouldy fruits.

Flavour: Typical for blackcurrants — no off odours

Defects: Practically free from le aves, stems, sand, caps and twigs.

Packaging: Placed in 15 kg net poly lined carton cases or according to customer requirements.

Labelling: Suppliers name, Product, Weight, Production date, batch No. and origin.

Storage: Store frozen at min. minus 18º Celsius to preserve the quality of the product.
